Rearcross U16s travelled to Ardcrony on Saturday last for a league encounter hoping to get their title aspirations back on track following 2 consecutive defeats in their last 2 games. Rearcross stared brilliantly and were 1 0 ahead after 5 minutes when Daraagh Kennedy finished with aplomb from the penalty spot following a handball. Rearcross went further ahead in the 10 minute when Brian Carey finished from inside the box following a goalmouth scramble. Rearcross were well on top at this stage and went 3 0 ahead when some quick thinking by Gary O'Brien and Darragh Kennedy from a corner kick saw the former score a good goal from the edge of the box. Rearcoss started the 2nd half the way they finished the first and were unlucky not to further their lead on a number of occasions. They did strike for one more when Darragh Kennedy scored his second penalty of the day. This was a good performance by every Rearcross player on the day. This keeps Rearcross firmly in the race for the league title.
